This is Im?m M?lik’s, As-Sh?fi‘?’s and most of his followers’ Mathhab [i.e. opinion] and it is also the well-known view of Im?m Ahmad’s Mathhab’. (1)
Al-Ir?q? said: ‘There is nothing that indicates the three Im?ms’ recommendation of doing a pre Sunnah Sal?t before it’.
Commenting on Al-Ir?q? statement, Al-Alb?n? said: ‘That is why nothing that affirms the legality of this claimed Sunnah was reported in Ash-Sh?fi‘?’s “‘Umm”, in Im?m Ahmad’s “Mas?’il” nor in the compilations of any other great Im?m -as far as I know.
Accordingly, I strongly believe that those who practice this Sal?t have neither followed the prophet’s ( - ) Sunnah nor the great Im?ms’ Mathhab but followed instead those who imitate other imitators with no knowledge. How strange! How could an imitator imitate another imitator!!’ (2)
According to the previous discussion, you could realize the mistake of those who do the two or four Rak‘ahs Sal?t -between the two ’Ath?ns believing it to be of Sunnah just like the one prior to Thuhr Sal?t!! The aforementioned evidences affirm that there is no pre-Jumu‘ah Sunnah Sal?t. Indeed nothing beyond the truth but falsehood. We ask All?h ( - عز وجل -) to guide us all to know our religion, act in accordance with it sincerely for His sake and follow the prophet’s ( - ) Sunnah. Amen.

Some claim that the prophet’s ( - ) authentic had?th: ‘Every compulsory Sal?t is preceded by two Rak‘ahs’ states the legality of doing two Rak‘ahs before Jumu‘ah Sal?t. This inference is a sheer falsehood for it was affirmed earlier that there was only the first ’Ath?n and the Iq?mah. This made Al-Buseir? say -after mentioning the had?th- ‘This is something impossible for there is the Khutbah between the first ’Ath?n and the Iq?mah; no chance for doing N?filah between them’.
