rulings and the Im?ms’, teachers’ and preachers’ carelessness to teach people their religion to an extent that the prophet’s ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) had?th -‘when the Im?m recites Ta’m?n’- is totally forgotten or neglected by many save few. May All?h ( - عز وجل -) help us all’. (1)
[4/ 40] Some of the Ma’m?m?n’s mistakes when reciting the word “?m?n” is prolonging the first vowel more than its proper length.
Some pronounce the /m/ with a strong stress -which is linguistically improper as stated by many linguists- that it may even render one’s Sal?t invalid as Al-Mutawall? -from the Sh?fi‘? Mathhab- stated. (2)
It is also a mistake to say “?m?n” in a loud voice or raising one’s head upwards when saying it. Such things indeed contradict the prophet’s ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) Sunnah.
* Notes of great importance:
[5/ 40] The first: it is of the affirmed prophet’s ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) Sunnah to ask All?h’s ( - عز وجل -) mercy and bounties to be showered on one whenever one recites an ’?yah which includes such a meaning. And whenever one recites an ’?yah about Hell, its torture or its evil, one should seek All?h’s ( - عز وجل -) refuge from these all. This is only done in Qiy?mul Lail not in any other Sal?t as the authentic ah?d?th affirm which one must not go beyond them depending on logic or mental analogy and had the prophet ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) done so in N?filah Sal?t, it would have been transmitted to us. (3)
[6/ 40] The second: Many Ma’m?m?n recite “Bal?, Wa’an? ‘Al? Th?lika Minash Sh?hid?n” [Yes, indeed. And I am a Witness on that] when the Im?m recites the ’?yah :
[ أليس الله بأحكم الحاكمين] ‘ Is not All?h ( - عز وجل -) the Best of Judges?’ (4) depending on a weak had?th, the chain of narrators of which includes an unknown narrator. (5)
