Some ‘Ulamah considered pictures of plants and trees not to be part of the prohibition. (1)

I believe that it is indeed detested to perform Sal?t on carpets full of pictures of trees and plants because they distract one’s attention from being fully given to Sal?t - as is understood from the had?th about the Anbij?niyyah. All?h ( - عز وجل -) knows best.

[13] Performing Sal?t on or towards graves:

Jundab Ibn Abdull?h Al-Bajal? ( - رضي الله عنه -) said: ‘I heard the prophet ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) -5 days before his death- say: “I have no Khal?l amongst you for All?h ( - عز وجل -) chose me to be His Khal?l as He( - عز وجل -) had chosen Ibr?h?m ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -). If I were to choose a Khal?l amongst you, I would have chosen Ab? Bakr to be this Khal?l. Indeed, those before you had taken their prophets’ graves as places of worship.

Never take the graves as places of worship, indeed I forbid you to do that’. (2)

Ab? Hurairah ( - رضي الله عنه -) said: The prophet ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) said: ‘May All?h ( - عز وجل -) launch war on the Jews and the Nas?r? [the Christians]; they took their prophets’ graves as mosques [i.e. places of worship; they worshipped them]. (3)

‘Aishah said: The prophet ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) said -on his deathbed: ‘May All?h ( - عز وجل -) curse the Jews and the Nas?r? (Christians); they took their prophet’s graves as places of worship’. (4)

Ibn Mas‘?d ( - رضي الله عنه -) said: The prophet ( - صلى الله عليه وسلم -) said: ‘Indeed, the worst of people are those who witness the last day of life, and those who take graves as places of worship. (5)
