Consequently, those who refrain from doing Sal?t behind an Im?m who uncovers his head, their act is improper although the Im?m should be in his most beautiful shape in his Sal?t, fullfilling what he could of the prophet’s ( - ) Sunnah. May All?h ( - ) guide us to the Right Path.

* Doing Sal?t wearing shoes:

Many people think that doing Sal?t wearing shoes is illegal and hence refusing to do it in such a state (1) although such an act is of the Sunnan, that are abandoned by many, the prophet ( - ) used to do.

In his “Sharh Ma‘?n? Al-?th?r” (vol. 1 / p. 511), At-Tah?w? said: ‘It is strongly proved through the authentic ah?d?th that the prophet ( - ) used to do his Sal?t wearing his shoes and he used to take them off only when there is impurity that got stuck on them. Accordingly, doing Sal?t wearing shoes is legal’.
