Abdull?h Ibn Shaq?q then said: ‘Having heard these words, I became so skeptic regarding this matter [of combination]. I went on to Ab? Hurairah ( - رضي الله عنه -) and enquired about that. Ab? Hurairah ( - رضي الله عنه -) affirmed Ibn ‘Abb?s’s words’. (1)

According to the previous discussion, combining between the Salaw?t when the weather is rainy or when being under a state of fear is permissible -according to Ibn ‘Abb?s’s statement, i.e. “without ... was rainy”, as he ( - ) did on ‘Arafah and Muzdalifah,- does not entail the prohibition of combination in these two states since he ( - ) practiced combination for reasons less in seriousness than these two and hence the legality of doing combination when being under these two states. (2)

Combination between the Salaw?t could be practiced when the need arises such as: suffering muddy roads, snow, ice, sickness, fierce wind or any other kind of hardship. This opinion is held by many of the well-versed scholars -as is mentioned earlier- and it is Im?m Ahmad’s Mathhab -which Shaikul Isl?m Ibn Taymiyya described to be the most flexible of all Math?hib regarding this point for it allows the one under any kind of hardship or being so busy to do combination between Salaw?t’. Then he stated Al-Q?d?’s statements regarding “being busy” and said: ‘Al-Q?d? Ab? Ya‘l? and others of our Shaikhs stated that: If one is too busy to attend the Friday Sal?t and the congregations, then is allowed to do combinations Sal?t’. (3)

According to the previous discussion, one could easily realize that those who open the windows of the mosque before the Im?m recites Takb?rat?l Ihr?m for combination between Salaw?t to know whether there is rain or not in order to do combination believing
